REFRESHER COURSE

This course is available for officers, deck and engine, to revalidate their certificates of competency, and is offered at two levels. For officers at the operational level, and including all engineers, the modules are Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities with Personal Survival Techniques (PSSR), advanced Fire Fighting (AFF) and First Aid at Sea (FA). For Masters and Chief Mates the modules are the same except that Ship Captains Medical Training (SCMED) replaces First Ad at Sea.

REQUIREMENTS: To qualify for this condensed course candidates must have valid certificates for each component. The PSSR module requires that candidates have swimming costumes and towels. The Fire Fighting courses require candidates to have overalls and safety boots, and produce their ID.

ADDITIONAL: A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 14 candidates are required and the fee includes notes, stationery and transport to and from the wet drill module. Refreshments and lunch are provided whilst on course. Please notify us if there are any personal catering allergies or religious restrictions, in order for us to make the necessary arrangements. Candidates to bring along ID/Passport on 1st day of course. Kindly note that we do not accept cheques, only cash or electronic transfers.

DURATION: 5 days for deck officers at the operational level and all engineer officers. 6 days for Masters and Chief Mates.

Please enquire as to the correct fee at the time of the booking. All bookings made in advance will not attract additional costs. Course fees are not refundable and certifications are only issued once all course fees are paid in full.
