This course is accredited by SAMSA and meets the requirements of the South African Code of Maritime Qualifications and the requirements of STCW 95 A-VI/4-2. The course is coordinated by Unicorn Training and presented by a highly qualified SAMSA accredited instructor. The practical sessions are held in the trauma unit of a local hospital and other specialist venues. Certificates are issued to successful candidates on completion.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must have a valid First Aid at Sea certificate to qualify. However, if their certificate has expired, arrangements can be made for these candidates to attend a First Aid at Sea course immediately prior to the Ship Captains Medical Training course. Candidates to bring along ID/Passport on 1st day of course.
ADDITIONAL: A minimum of 4 (four) candidates are required for the course. Refreshments and lunch are provided whilst on course. Please notify us if there are any personal catering allergies or religious restrictions, in order for us to make the necessary arrangements.
DURATION: 5 days+1 night at a trauma unit.
The course fee includes manuals, notes, stationery, sundry materials, tea and coffee, and a light lunch.
