A mandatory course for officers and ratings prior to joining a tanker. The syllabus is in accordance with the contents of table A-V/1-1-1 of the STCW Code. This course fulfills the requirements of the South African Code of Maritime Qualifications, the SA Merchant Shipping (Safe Manning, Training and Certification) Regulations , 2012, and has SAMSA accreditation. Certificates are issued to successful candidates on completion.
REQUIREMENTS: All candidates should have a valid Fire Fighting certificate and valid medical fitness certificate. All candidates must be conversant and literate in English.
ADDITIONAL: A minimum of 6 candidates are required for the course and the fee includes manuals, notes, stationery, refreshments, a light lunch, writing and sundry materials. Candidates to bring along ID/Passport on 1st day of course.
